How Throwaway protects your words
The best protection for a passing thought is not turning it into a permanent record in the first place.
1. You type on your device
The writing box is temporary page state. Its value stays in the tab's memory so the interface can show it back to you; current code does not send it to a server.
2. The potato is local too
Giving it to the potato only moves the words into an illustration on the same page. A local calculation selects a response; no AI service or outside API reads the text.
3. The throw clears it
When the animation ends, the value is reset to empty. It is also cleared from page state when you leave. There is no recovery button because there is no worry history.
4. Sharing without revealing
The share card is drawn locally and contains only Throwaway branding and a generic closing line. Your original entry is never added.
Limits to know
Browser extensions, screen recorders, third-party keyboards, or someone with device access may still observe what is displayed. Use a trusted device and close the tab when finished.
